Position Summary: |
The Work Control Coordinator is responsible for the management and execution of the preventative maintenance readiness through and including work package assembly, distribution of work packages to field personnel, review of completed work packages and Records Custodian duties. The Work Control Coordinator will be part of a highly creative, diverse, fast-paced, effective and efficient team supporting the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract (LLCC) operations and infrastructure maintenance and modifications. This position will contribute in establishing facility maintenance and construction priorities for executing all scheduled and emergent work activities. Work activities for this position requires daily work assignments within both the Department of Energy Hazard Category 2 facility and non-nuclear areas, ensuring safety and security are a primary focus for all work performed within the area, and maintain the required training requirements mandated for this position. The Work Control Coordinator position requires a close working relationship with the Maintenance organization, Logistics, Training, Engineering, Safety, Radiological Controls, Fire Protection, Quality Assurance, Operations. |

Education & Experience: |
Level 1: A Bachelor’s degree in technical field, or other closely related discipline; 0-1 years radiological hazardous waste environmental remediation, construction engineering, construction management, procurement and process engineering and/or facility operations experience, or other relevant experience. Level 2: A Bachelor’s degree in technical field, or other closely related discipline; 3 years radiological hazardous waste environmental remediation, construction engineering, construction management, procurement and process engineering and/or facility operations experience, or other relevant experience. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the lack of required education one one-for-one year basis, or vice versa. |
