Carrier Sales Support Director

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Carrier Sales Support Director based in United States.

The Carrier Sales Support Director will play a critical leadership role in connecting sales strategy with operational execution across complex carrier solutions.
This position serves as the key link between commercial teams, carrier partners, and internal operations to ensure accurate commitments, smooth handoffs, and exceptional customer outcomes.
The role will oversee carrier sales support processes, improve operational discipline, and drive scalable workflows that enhance efficiency and service quality.
Working in a technology-driven environment, this leader will influence cross-functional teams, strengthen partner relationships, and optimize the customer delivery lifecycle.

Accountabilities:

The Carrier Sales Support Director is responsible for leading the operational support function that enables successful carrier sales execution and customer delivery. This role owns the coordination layer between sales teams, carrier partners, and operational teams, ensuring solutions are accurately scoped, commercially aligned, and ready for fulfillment.

  • Lead carrier operations support for sales initiatives, including strategic opportunities, RFP responses, and customer proposals.
  • Partner with sales leadership to validate carrier solutions, ensuring commitments are operationally feasible and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Oversee quote-to-order accuracy and ensure carrier commitments are properly documented before provisioning handoff.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for sales-to-operations transition challenges and carrier-related issues.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with carrier partners, promoting collaboration and accountability.
  • Negotiate and manage carrier service-level agreements, escalation processes, and operational commitments.
  • Lead and develop the Carrier Front Office Support Team by establishing priorities, workflows, and performance expectations.
  • Design and improve intake, triage, and support processes for sales orders, quotes, and carrier coordination activities.
  • Establish quality controls, documentation standards, and readiness criteria to reduce delays, errors, and rework.
  • Develop cross-functional processes that align Sales, Carrier Operations, Provisioning, Finance, and Revenue Assurance teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase implementation efficiency and strengthen service delivery.
  • Maintain operational policies and procedures that support scalable growth and consistent execution.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced telecom operations leader with a strong background in carrier sales support, partner management, and process improvement. They should combine technical industry knowledge with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in telecom carrier operations, carrier sales support, service delivery, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic carrier relationships and operational partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom solutions, including broadband, Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), SIP, SD-WAN, and MPLS.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and implementing operational improvements.
  • Experience with CRM and order management platforms, with Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage complex sales pursuits and operational workflows with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with executives, sales teams, and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience developing scalable processes.
  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining strong collaboration, communication, and accountability.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
