FACILITIES SUPERVISOR
Fairlane Hotel | Nashville, TN
Full-Time | Hourly | On-Property
ABOUT FAIRLANE HOTEL
Fairlane Hotel is a 79-room independent boutique property in the heart of downtown Nashville. We are committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience and take pride in a team that is skilled, dependable, and well-supported.
POSITION SUMMARY
Fairlane Hotel is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to provide hands-on, shift-level leadership across our Engineering and Housekeeping departments. The Facilities Supervisor directs staff, manages work orders and room assignments, handles administrative duties for both departments, and maintains property standards throughout the hotel.
This role carries full responsibility across both Engineering and Housekeeping, and both are equally central to its success. Because the Engineering scope is a skilled-trades function, hands-on maintenance experience at a supervisory or lead level is required, with housekeeping leadership experience strongly valued alongside it. Comprehensive training in Fairlane Hotel's systems, standards, and procedures will be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineering:
- Perform and oversee maintenance and repair work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall
- Assign, prioritize, and manage work orders for Engineering staff using our Optii platform and StaynTouch PMS
- Serve as on-shift first responder for engineering-related incidents and emergencies
- Execute and document preventive maintenance tasks; report developing issues to the Chief Engineer
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment logs, and inspection documentation
- Act as Engineering's point of contact on shift in the Chief Engineer's absence
Housekeeping:
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet hotel standards
- Assign and monitor daily workloads for Room Attendants, Housepersons, and related staff
- Support scheduling, training, and coaching of Housekeeping team members
- Monitor linen, amenity, and supply inventory; communicate needs to the Executive Housekeeper
- Complete daily housekeeping reports, inspection logs, and lost and found documentation
- Act as Housekeeping's point of contact on shift in the Executive Housekeeper's absence
General:
- Coordinate with Front Office, F&B, and other departments to maintain smooth property operations
- Communicate clearly across departments and provide thorough shift handover notes
- Maintain a safe, professional, and respectful work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Supervisor- or lead-level experience in hotel engineering, building maintenance, or facilities, with direct responsibility for maintenance and repair work
- Demonstrated hands-on competence across multiple building trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry) with the ability to perform and direct repairs independently
- Familiarity with housekeeping operations and room inspection standards, with the ability to lead and inspect the Housekeeping team to hotel standards
- Strong administrative and organizational skills; comfortable with documentation and record-keeping
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities across departments
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout each shift
Preferred:
- Prior hotel maintenance or skilled trade experience
- Prior housekeeping supervisory experience
- Familiarity with work-order management platforms (Optii a plus)
- Independent or boutique hotel background
SCHEDULE
Full-time, on-property position with rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. On-call availability may be required.
BENEFITS

- 401(k) program, eligible after 6 months
- Health, dental, and vision insurance effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment for full-time associates
- Complimentary parking
