Medical Assistant – University Urogynecology

University Physicians' Association (UPA) is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our University Urogynecology team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you'll work closely with physicians and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and create a positive experience for every patient. What You'll Do
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist physicians with direct patient care and clinical procedures
- Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment management
- Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications for imaging studies, including MRIs and CT scans
- Communicate test results and follow-up information to patients
- Perform phlebotomy and other clinical support duties
- Accurately document and process physician orders
- Build positive, professional relationships with patients, families, providers, and staff
- Help ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience from check-in to follow-up care

Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification or current LPN license required
- 6 months to 1 year of medical office or clinical experience required
- Women's Health or Gynecology experience preferred
