The BI Data Analyst is responsible for developing analytics solutions that support business performance, operational excellence, and financial decision-making. The role focuses on analyzing data, building reporting tools, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and key business drivers.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs, metrics, and success criteria.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to support business decisions.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data.
- Support ETL processes and collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data pipelines and analytics capabilities.
- Validate data accuracy through testing, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes across multiple systems.
- Translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions and actionable recommendations.
- Ensure analytics products are reliable, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with BI, IT, product development, and operational teams to continuously improve reporting and data solutions.
- Support data governance, security, and best practices across analytics initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and business understanding to create impactful data solutions. This role requires experience working with modern data environments, strong SQL capabilities, and the ability to communicate insights effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience working with SQL environments and data analysis processes.
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience supporting ETL processes and data pipeline workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and detail.
- Experience working with healthcare data or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) data preferred.
- Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI preferred.
- Familiarity with analytics platforms, data governance, and security practices.
- Experience with Jira, GitHub, or similar collaboration and development tools is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly with business users, technical teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
