Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Shift Times Vary in Louisville, Kentucky at Norton Healthcare

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist utilizes imaging, computer and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high quality diagnostic images which meet or exceed department, organizational and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the human anatomy, physiology, as well as image quality. Applying professional knowledge, prepares patients for the procedure, educates and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, patient education and principles of physical/functional growth and development. Demonstrates an understanding of patient positioning, imaging technique, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.

Required:

• RO (State Radiography License) and One of: ARRT-N or CNMT

OR

• ROT (Temp State Radiography License) and Must obtain One of: ARRT-N or CNMT prior to ROT expiration
