BEAM Professionals has more than 30 years of experience in the design and maintenance of exterior building envelope components for K-12, higher education, municipalities, corporate + commercial, and sports clientele. We supply a powerful combination of design expertise, understanding of building procedures, and intimate knowledge of how to successfully execute building envelope projects. We constantly leverage our unique team approach and signature consulting process to guide the optimal results that express our clients’ missions and values. Here’s your chance, are you ready to make a difference?

The Senior Field Technician performs advanced fieldwork, testing, and documentation in support of building assessment and construction projects. This role is primarily responsible for executing field investigations, conducting standardized testing, and preparing detailed reports under the direction of Project Managers. While this position may provide guidance to junior staff and assist with coordinating field activities, the primary duty remains hands-on field execution and documentation rather than independent technical decision-making.

Your Impact:

  • Perform on-site investigations, QA visits, and field reviews.
  • Conduct standardized testing (ASTM, AAMA, façade testing, flood testing, etc.) in accordance with established procedures.
  • Document field conditions, observations, and test results accurately.
  • Prepare detailed reports of findings for review by Project Managers.
  • Assist in identifying issues and compiling data for project evaluation.
  • Support feasibility assessments by gathering field data and documentation.
  • Attend OAC meetings and site visits as required.
  • Coordinate field activities with other technicians and project teams.
  • Assist in overseeing junior technicians during fieldwork execution.
  • Support project closeout documentation and deliverables.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of building enclosure or related field experience.
  • Experience conducting field testing and documenting results.
  • Proven knowledge of building systems (roofing, waterproofing, façade, etc.).
  • IIBEC Registered Roof Observer (RRO) or IIBEC Registered Exterior Wall Observer (REWO) certification, or active progress toward obtaining one of these certifications within 12 months.
  • Familiarity with applicable testing standards (ASTM, AAMA, etc.).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment.

Here’s How You’ll Stand Out:

  • Strong field troubleshooting and problem identification skills.
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent field projects.
  • Effective communication with project teams and clients.
  • Ability to mentor junior field staff in field procedures and documentation.

We encourage our employees as they grow in their career and support them on their journey. At BEAM the sky is not the limit, it’s just the beginning.
