About the Role:

The Route Driver Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of goods to our customers. This position is responsible for making deliveries on a specific route and assisting with coordinating routes and optimizing delivery schedules to enhance operational efficiency. The Route Driver Lead will also be tasked with maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role directly contributes to the overall success of the logistics operation. Ultimately, the Route Driver Lead is pivotal in fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability while achieving delivery targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Proven experience in a driving or logistics role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
  • Experience with route planning software and GPS technology.
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive company vehicle to deliver parts on scheduled routes.
  • Assist in logistics of the route drivers to ensure timely deliveries by optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Lead and serve as role model in completing regular training sessions for drivers on safety protocols and customer service standards.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to address any delivery issues and implement solutions.

The required skills for this position include strong leadership abilities, which are essential for managing a team of drivers and ensuring they meet performance standards. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effectively conveying instructions and providing feedback to team members.
