The Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Paralegal to support EML’s Global Legal Team. This role offers broad exposure across commercial contracts, regulatory matters, litigation support and corporate governance within a multinational, regulated fintech environment.

The role also plays a key part in supporting the Legal Team’s use of legal technology and AI‑enabled tools, helping to improve efficiency, consistency and quality across legal processes.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, providing practical, commercially‑focused legal support to the business.

What You’ll Do

Contract & Commercial Support

  • Establish, maintain and manage a Group contracts register capturing key commercial and regulatory terms.
  • Review, draft and negotiate Non‑Disclosure Agreements and other standard form legal documents.
  • Assist with amendments, novations and renewals of commercial contracts.
  • Support Legal‑led projects involving updates to legal documentation.

Legal Operations & Knowledge Management

  • Collate, organise and maintain legal files, precedents, templates and supporting documentation.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of legal technology and contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Assist in developing efficient legal processes, playbooks and documentation workflows.

Legal Technology & AI Enablement

  • Support the Legal Team in the responsible use, development and continuous improvement of AI‑enabled legal tools, including for contract review, document analysis and legal research.
  • Help identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve legal workflows, efficiency and knowledge management.
  • Assist with testing, training and rollout of AI tools within the Legal function, including developing prompts, guidance materials and best‑practice use cases.
  • Support governance, record‑keeping and documentation relating to AI use within the Legal Team.
  • Stay informed on emerging legal technology and AI developments relevant to legal teams.

Litigation, Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Assist with litigation matters, including internal disclosure exercises and coordination with external counsel.
  • Support responses to subpoenas, regulatory enquiries, notices and law enforcement requests.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare clear summaries on relevant legal and regulatory topics.
  • Support the Legal Team with corporate governance, compliance and entity management matters.

General Legal & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the Legal Team
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple functions, time zones and jurisdictions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a paralegal or legal support role, ideally within a regulated, financial services or multinational environment.
  • Solid understanding of legal terminology, documentation and legal processes.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI‑enabled tools in a legal or professional services context (for example, contract review, document analysis, research or workflow automation).
  • Confidence developing and refining prompts, templates or playbooks to support consistent and effective use of AI tools within a legal team.
  • Awareness of data protection, confidentiality and regulatory considerations when using AI in a legal environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating across teams and time zones in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent research, analytical and drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence adopting new legal technology tools.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
