FSM Group, LLC, an aviation fuel management company with multiple locations in the US, has an immediate need for a Lead Fuel Farm Mechanic for aircraft fueling at the Denver Airport. Job Summary:

The Lead Mechanic is responsible for overseeing maintenance and repair operations of the Tank Farm and Hydrant system. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, supervising a team of mechanics, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, and maintaining high-quality standards. The Lead Mechanic also assists with complex repairs and ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise and coordinate activities of mechanics

· Perform and oversee repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting and scheduled inspections on Tank Farm and Hydrant System

· Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards

· Train and mentor junior mechanics

· Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory

· Ensure compliance with all safety programs

· Communicate with management regarding repair status, costs, and timelines

· Become proficient with Saim tracking/scheduling program

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)

· Proven experience as a mechanic, with leadership or supervisory experience

· Strong knowledge of mechanical and pipeline systems

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

· Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

· At least 18 years of age

· Pass a federal fingerprint background check

· Have proof of US work eligibility

· Must have reliable transportation.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

· This position requires sustained physical effort and consistent exposure to outdoor and potentially hazardous work environments. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Mobility and Access

· Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders with 50+ steps and work at heights of 50 feet or more, including high, precarious places.

· Must be able to get in and out of vehicles of varying sizes and heights.

· Must be able to drive and operate vehicles and equipment of various sizes, including automated lifts up to 26 feet.

Lifting and Carrying

· Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds overhead.

· Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds to waist level.

· Must be able to shovel materials such as snow, sand, dirt, gravel, or rocks as needed.

· Standing and Movement

· Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and balance for extended periods of time.

· Perform repetitive physical movements, including bending at the waist and knees, and sustaining awkward or physically demanding positions.

· Capable of climbing and standing on step ladders while performing overhead work, such as connecting fueling hoses.

· Manual Dexterity

· Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grip, and operate tools, equipment, and controls.

Sensory Requirements

· Hear and respond to verbal instructions, environmental sounds, and audible alarms.

· Maintain the following vision capabilities:

o Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)

o Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)

o Color vision (identify and distinguish between colors)

o Peripheral vision (see up/down and side-to-side while focused on a central point)

o Depth perception (assess distance and spatial relationships)

o Ability to adjust focus (sharpen vision at various distances)

Environmental and Working Conditions

· Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.

· Tolerate frequent exposure to:

o Moderate to high noise levels (with use of appropriate hearing protection)

o Fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous substances, materials, or waste

· Work near or around:

o Moving mechanical parts

o High-voltage equipment

o Hydraulic and pneumatic systems operating under high pressure

· Work in elevated or precarious positions, such as on lifts, ladders, or elevated platforms.
