This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to shape the infrastructure powering large-scale AI-driven developer experiences. In this role, you will oversee teams building and optimizing high-throughput AI inference systems that support mission-critical generative AI workloads used by developers worldwide. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and platform teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly observable systems while driving innovation in AI infrastructure. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical direction, offering the chance to influence the future of AI-assisted software development at a global scale. Accountabilities:
  • Lead the technical vision and execution for large-scale AI inference infrastructure and distributed systems supporting generative AI workloads.
  • Drive roadmap planning and prioritize engineering initiatives aligned with business goals, platform scalability, and product innovation.
  • Guide teams in designing secure, reliable, observable, and high-performing cloud-native systems and services.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence through automation, standardization, telemetry-driven development, and operational best practices.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, and platform organizations to manage dependencies, streamline integration efforts, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Oversee incident response processes, reliability strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high service availability and performance.
  • Mentor engineering managers and developers, support career growth, and cultivate an inclusive, high-trust team environment focused on innovation and accountability.
Requirements:
  • 9+ years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems, or large-scale cloud infrastructure development.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading engineering teams in fast-paced technical environments.
  • Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and scalable distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Go, Java, Python, Ruby, Rust, JavaScript, or C#.
  • Experience with AI infrastructure, inference platforms, orchestration systems, or large-scale compute environments is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CNCF technologies, telemetry platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and influence technical strategy.
  • Experience working closely with product management, platform engineering, and design teams to deliver high-impact technical solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
