This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to drive the development of scalable sandbox and orchestration solutions within a fast-growing, globally distributed technology environment. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional engineering team while remaining deeply involved in hands-on technical development and architectural decisions. You will contribute to building secure and efficient systems that enable customers and internal teams to work with production-grade data in isolated environments. You will work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver reliable user experiences while balancing long-term scalability with rapid execution. - Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team of developers and technical professionals, balancing people leadership with hands-on software engineering responsibilities.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and orchestration systems using Node.js and modern engineering practices.
- Drive technical planning, architectural decisions, and execution strategies while ensuring long-term scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Oversee code quality through code reviews, testing standards, deployment best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver seamless and customer-focused user experiences.
- Build and optimize automation engines, synchronization pipelines, APIs, and distributed systems supporting isolated sandbox environments.
- Identify technical risks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure stable and efficient operations.
- Promote Agile methodologies, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across teams to improve productivity and engineering excellence.
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development initiatives within the engineering organization.
- Represent the engineering team in cross-functional discussions, advocating for technical quality, scalability, and sustainable product decisions.
- Strong experience in software engineering leadership roles with a balance of technical expertise and team management responsibilities.
- Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and scalable system design.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript development.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.
- Strong SQL expertise, including writing complex queries, understanding data structures, and optimizing database performance.
- Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and service integrations across complex environments.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis across systems, code, and data layers.
- Experience managing incidents, escalations, and troubleshooting within production environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, hiring, and fostering inclusive and high-performing team cultures.
- Ability to balance rapid execution with long-term technical health and strategic thinking.
- Experience with cross-platform development, open-source contributions, or additional technical stacks is considered a plus.
