This role is a high-impact field sales position focused on driving growth within a defined healthcare territory across Boston, Vermont, and Maine. You will be responsible for managing key clinical and laboratory accounts, building strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders, and expanding adoption of a full portfolio of diagnostic solutions. The position combines strategic account ownership with hands-on field execution, requiring frequent engagement with oncology practices, hospitals, academic centers, and reference labs. You will act as the primary commercial contact for your territory, ensuring both retention and expansion of business opportunities. The environment is fast-paced, consultative, and highly collaborative, involving close coordination with internal specialists and cross-functional teams. This is an opportunity to contribute to improving patient outcomes while operating in a mission-driven healthcare organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage the full sales cycle across assigned territory accounts, including Tier A, B, and C healthcare customers.
  • Achieve annual sales targets by developing and executing strategic territory and account plans aligned with regional objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across pathology, oncology, hospitals, academic centers, and reference laboratories.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts while actively expanding market share.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Oncology Sales Specialists, Client Success Specialists, and Key Account Managers to maximize account value.
  • Deliver product presentations, in-service training, and consultative selling to support customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Track all account activity, opportunities, and pipeline updates in Salesforce to ensure accuracy and visibility.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy and support business growth.
  • Develop and maintain a structured territory business plan and adjust strategies based on evolving market conditions.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience in clinical diagnostics, laboratory services, or healthcare-related markets.
  • Proven track record of closing complex sales and achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystems, including oncology, pathology, and clinical laboratory environments.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills with the ability to manage long sales cycles.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license required for territory coverage.
  • Strong self-motivation, resilience, and ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
Benefits:
  • Competitive On-Target Earnings (OTE) ranging from $235,000 to $270,000.
  • Car allowance and cell phone reimbursement.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including HMO/PPO healthcare options.
  • 401(k) plan with company match and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
  • Tuition reimbursement and structured leadership development programs.
  • Starting PTO of 16 days plus holidays, with additional paid wellness and volunteer opportunities.
  • Access to employee wellness programs and mental health resources.
  • Strong career development support, including coaching, training, and internal mobility opportunities.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on improving patient care and outcomes.
