Point of Care Medical Technologist in Gastonia, North Carolina at CaroMont Health

Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of activities to coordinate the Point of Care programs of the laboratory. Assists in implementation of employee orientation program. Practices as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLS/MLS) as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized school or university. MT/CLS/MLS (ASCP) registration or equivalent required or must obtain ASCP or equivalent within 6 months of hire. At least two years of medical laboratory experience. Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and specimen requirements. Considerable skills in performing various laboratory tests. Considerable skills in planning, organizing and teaching. Good customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to use independent judgment.
