Position Summary

Fusion is seeking a Construction Administrator to provide project administration, compliance assurance, document control, and coordination support for secure construction projects. This role supports project teams by maintaining construction documentation and helping ensure compliance with documentation requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing construction environment.

Clearance Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance required; Top Secret clearance preferred
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain any additional security or customer-required clearances or access authorizations required for this role

Key Responsibilities

Construction Administration & Documentation Support

  • Support project teams with administrative coordination and day-to-day project support
  • Maintain and organize construction documentation
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, compliance logs, and related construction documentation
  • Maintain accurate document control processes, version tracking, and construction records
  • Support preparation and compilation of project closeout documentation and turnover packages
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy while handling sensitive project information

Work Schedule, Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • This is an exempt, project-based position, due to the nature of the work, the schedule may not always fall within a traditional 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. schedule
  • This position is 100% on-site; work will be performed in an office trailer on an active construction site
  • This position requires the ability to work in high-security environments requiring strict access controls and security protocols
  • Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary and to comply with all Fusion, customer, and site-specific safety requirements

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction administration with demonstrated experience supporting document control, field engineering, or related construction support activities
  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering Technology preferred not required
  • Experience supporting federal construction projects, DoW environments, military facilities, or government contracting preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using construction document management or project management platforms such as Procore, e-Builder, or similar systems preferred
  • Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, compliance tracking, contract documentation, and construction administration processes

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize competing deadlines
  • Strong coordination and collaboration skills in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and accuracy while handling sensitive or controlled information
  • Comfortable working directly with project teams, subcontractors, customers, and stakeholders

The pay range for this role is:
90,000 - 110,000 USD per year(NAVFAC HQ DC)
