Job Description
The Inside Sales & Client Success Specialist is a mission-critical role responsible for managing and growing the Company's high-volume, repeatable business across all four core silos: Surface Engineering (Coating), RCR/AMP (Mechanical Rebuilds), RV (Wheels), and Resell (Parts). This role serves as the primary internal sales contact, responsible for accurate and timely quoting, order fulfillment coordination, and proactive client communication. This position is essential to protecting Outside Sales bandwidth, ensuring CRM discipline, and elevating the customer experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Including the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Manage end-to-end quoting process for standard and repeatable business, focusing on C-level accounts and overflow from B-level accounts.
• Ensure 100% compliance by logging all customer interactions, quotes, and opportunity progression into the CRM in real-time.
• Qualify inbound leads, update sales stages, next steps, and estimated close dates in the CRM to provide accurate backlog forecasts.
• Follow the two-step verification process for RCR/AMP quotes, leveraging technical experts to ensure accuracy before release.
• Serve as the main point of contact for routine customer inquiries, order status updates, lead times, and basic technical questions.
• Proactively audit open orders in the ERP system to catch errors (e.g., ship-to address, pricing validity, material availability) before they result in client irritation or order delays.
• Work closely with Operations, Production Control, and Shipping to ensure purchased parts, inventory, and production milestones align with customer expectations.
• Prepare and present TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) summaries for standard quotes to proactively defend the Company's value proposition against low-cost competitors.
• Fully manage all accounts formally transitioned from the Outside Sales team (C-Accounts) to ensure seamless continuity of service and allow Outside Sales to focus on A-Account Business Development.
• Assist Outside Sales in compiling formal SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) documents for complex, high-value projects to gain necessary cross-functional and executive approval.
• Manage sales reporting, meeting preparation, and material distribution as directed by the Sales Team Lead.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an inside sales, sales support, or technical customer service role, preferably within a manufacturing, coating, or industrial services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and communicate technical product specifications (e.g., coating types, part numbers, roller construction).
• Proficient in using CRM software (preferably Dynamics 365 or similar), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a disciplined approach to process, reporting, and data entry.
• Must be able to work on-site at the Fairburn, GA facility.
Key Competencies for Success
• Does not require prompting to update the CRM; views data entry as a core function.
• Exhibits a "find it before the customer does" mentality (e.g., auditing orders, proactively checking inventory).
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate requirements to Production, Engineering, and Shipping teams.
• Ability to manage high volumes of inbound requests and quickly pivot between tasks related to the four different silos.
