Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations in Puerto Rico while collaborating closely with HR leadership and shared services teams based in the United States. This role requires strong compliance expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to fostering a positive and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities:
- HR Business Partnership
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
Communicate HR initiatives and updates between local teams and U.S.-based HR leadership.
Support escalations related to employee concerns, complaints, and workplace issues.
Provide coaching, tools, and guidance to managers on HR policies and people management.
- Talent Acquisition & Management
Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Collaborate with hiring managers and shared services teams to develop effective staffing strategies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws throughout the hiring process.
Facilitate Talent Management and Performance Management programs.
- Compliance & Reporting
Maintain and update HR policies, programs, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment regulations.
Manage accurate employee records, including compensation, evaluations, disciplinary actions, and separations.
Assist with HR audits and analyze HR data to identify trends and opportunities.
Lead HR processes related to compensation, training, employee relations, and organizational development.
Conduct investigations related to policy violations or employee complaints.
Process payroll, manage leaves, and maintain employee files.
Support cultural transformation and employee engagement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
3–5 years of progressive HR experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and local labor laws.
Bilingual: Spanish and English.
Experience in recruitment and onboarding.
Basic experience in Labor Relations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
