Precision Private Security is accepting applications for professional, dependable, and service-oriented Unarmed Security Officers for an anticipated educational campus assignment in the Yuba City, CA area.

This is a professional campus-style security position. Officers selected for this assignment will be expected to maintain a visible security presence, assist the site community, deter unwanted activity, respond appropriately to safety concerns, and complete accurate documentation.

This position is best suited for individuals who understand that security in an educational environment requires professionalism, patience, communication, observation, and sound judgment. This is not a passive post. Officers must be visible, alert, helpful, and prepared to respond when needed.

Precision Private Security is looking for candidates who can represent the company professionally, follow post orders, communicate clearly, document accurately, and work effectively around students, staff, faculty, visitors, site representatives, supervisors, dispatch, and emergency responders.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Maintaining a visible, professional security presence during assigned shifts.
•Conducting routine foot patrols of buildings, parking areas, walkways, common areas, access points, exterior spaces, and perimeter areas.
•Conducting vehicle, low-speed vehicle, or electric cart patrols when assigned.
•Observing and reporting suspicious activity, trespassing, vandalism, theft, unauthorized access, safety hazards, property damage, and policy violations.
•Assisting students, staff, faculty, visitors, and authorized personnel with directions, site rules, access questions, and general safety concerns.
•Supporting building lock and unlock procedures as directed by post orders or authorized site representatives.
•Responding to disturbances, medical concerns, suspicious activity, safety issues, and emergency situations.
•Reporting emergencies to police, fire, medical responders, supervisors, dispatch, or site representatives when appropriate.
•Guiding first responders to the correct location during emergency situations.
•Using verbal de-escalation and professional communication to help stabilize incidents.
•Enforcing site rules in a calm, consistent, and respectful manner.
•Deterring and reporting criminal activity on or around assigned property.
•Protecting client property from vandalism, theft, misuse, or unauthorized access.
•Completing electronic Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.
•Reporting maintenance concerns, lighting issues, unsafe conditions, property damage, or other site concerns.
•Participating in drills or emergency preparedness activities when required.
•Maintaining a clean uniform, professional appearance, and positive representation of Precision Private Security and the client site.

Minimum Requirements:
•Active BSIS Guard Card required before deployment.
•Active BSIS Baton Permit required before deployment. Copy of permit/certification must be provided during onboarding and must remain active throughout assignment.
•Completion of BSIS-required security officer training.
•Ability to complete SB 1626 School Security Officer Training.
•Ability to complete site-specific orientation and post-order training.
•Ability to complete FERPA awareness, mandatory reporter basics, sexual harassment prevention training, emergency messaging awareness, and confidentiality/emergency management training as required.
•Valid California driver’s license required for vehicle/cart patrol assignments.
•DMV record review required for driving assignments.
•Must pass background screening consistent with California employment law.
•Must comply with all lawful company and client policies related to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vaping, impairment, and safety-sensitive assignments.
•Must be physically able to walk patrols, stand for extended periods, inspect assigned areas, and respond to incidents, with or without reasonable accommodation.
•Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, visitors, supervisors, dispatch, and emergency responders.
•Must be able to complete accurate, factual, and professional written reports.
•Must be able to use a company phone, electronic reporting software, and patrol/accountability systems.
•Must be dependable, punctual, alert, and able to work independently.
•Prior security, campus, school, public agency, military, law enforcement, healthcare, customer service, or similar public-facing experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
The strongest candidates will have one or more of the following:
•Prior security experience in an educational, public agency, healthcare, commercial, or institutional environment.
•Prior experience working around students, staff, visitors, or the public.
•Strong report-writing skills.
•De-escalation or conflict-resolution experience.
•Experience using mobile reporting applications or electronic activity-reporting systems.
•Valid California driver’s license and clean/reviewable driving history.
•Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and site closures.
•Strong attendance history and reliability.

Training and Onboarding:
Selected officers will complete or maintain required training, which may include:
•BSIS Guard Card training and required security officer training.
•Active BSIS Baton Permit required before deployment.
•SB 1626 School Security Officer Training.
•Site-specific post orders and orientation.
•Patrol procedures and documentation standards.
•Access control and facility security procedures.
•Locking and unlocking procedures.
•Emergency response chain of command.
•Radio, phone, and dispatch communication procedures.
•FERPA awareness and confidentiality expectations.
•Mandatory reporter basics.
•Sexual harassment prevention training.
•Emergency messaging awareness.
•De-escalation and crisis communication.
•Daily Activity Report and Incident Report writing.
•Site rules, policies, and professional conduct expectations.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is calm, professional, observant, and capable of working around students, staff, faculty, visitors, and emergency responders. This position requires good judgment, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to remain professional during both routine interactions and stressful situations.

We are looking for officers who understand that campus-style security is about prevention, visibility, communication, service, and accurate documentation.
A strong officer can be approachable without being distracted, firm without being rude, and alert without being dramatic.

This is an unarmed security role, but your most important tools will be your judgment, professionalism, communication skills, and ability to write a clear report.

Physical and Technology Requirements:
Applicants must be able to:
•Walk assigned patrol routes.
•Stand for extended periods.
•Inspect buildings, walkways, parking areas, access points, and exterior spaces.
•Respond to incidents in a timely and professional manner.
•Use a company phone or mobile device.
•Complete electronic Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports.
•Communicate by phone, radio, text, or reporting application as assigned.
•Follow post orders, supervisor direction, and client-site procedures.
