Cashier - Swimming Pool Facility in Austin, Texas at Anderson Mill Limited District

Part-time and seasonal full-time positions available

The Pool Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests at the swimming pools in the Anderson Mill Limited District facility. This position handles admissions, processes payments, sells concessions, and assists guests with general questions while maintaining a friendly and professional environment.

Work Schedule

• Part-time and full-time seasonal positions available.

• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts during pool operating hours.

• Current operating hours are 8 am – 7 pm daily.

Compensation and Benefits

• $15.00/hour based on experience

• Benefits include free household pool and gym pass during employment.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet guests and provide outstanding customer service.

• Collect admission fees and process cash and credit card payments accurately.

• Operate cash register and maintain balanced cash drawer.

• Sell snacks, beverages, and other pool items.

• Educate customers regarding pool rules, schedules, memberships, and events.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cashier and concession areas.

• Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies are low.

• Assist with opening and closing procedures.

• Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and company policies.

• Ability to assist in the event of an emergency.

• Work collaboratively with lifeguards, supervisors, and other pool staff to maintain a safe environment.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous cashier or customer service experience required.

• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred.

• Basic math and money-handling skills are mandatory.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Dependable, punctual, and team oriented.

• Friendly and positive.

• Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
