Job Description
The Treasury, Endowment and Grant analyst is a key part of the College finance function. This position is responsible for daily cash and banking processes, administration and analysis of the Endowment, support of Grant submission and financial reporting along with other duties as required. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting and Business Services, this position will collaborate with multiple other functions, such as Advancement, Athletics and Academic Affairs, to ensure financial performance is accurately captured. This position requires attention to detail, higher level conceptual skills, relentless pursuit of knowledge and intellectual curiosity. The successful candidate must possess strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Support Cash Management operations, which include activities such as:
- Assessing, monitoring, and planning the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the College
- Supporting cash forecasting processes, including analyzing and reporting cash flow projections to leadership
· Support the administration and analysis of the Endowment funds, including activities such as:
- Analysis of purpose restriction of the gift
- Assessment of spending and release of funding
- Reconciliation of all Endowment funds to pooled investments and unitization activities
· Support the College in submission of Grants and any required financial reporting requirements. Collaborate with other functions to ensure that the College remains in compliance with all Grant requirements. Assist with indirect cost allocations and Uniform Guidance compliance.
· Manage the College credit card program(s), including assignment of cards, management of program spending and reconciliation of accounts.
· Assist with other analytical and accounting-related tasks as assigned, including monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year-end tasks, management financial reporting, and Board of Trustee reporting. These tasks require extensive use of Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and performing complex analytical tasks.
· Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
· Research and recommend improvements to Treasury and Endowment processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and improve the overall control environment.
· Promote an environment of collaboration, transparency, approachability, and support.
· Advance the current level of organizational sophistication around financial planning.
· Other duties as assigned include, but are not limited to, building redundancy in other finance functions such as payroll, accounts payable or billing.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business management
- Prefer 2 - 4 years relevant experience
- Experience with Colleague software preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
