INVENTORY CONTROL

OVERVIEW

Responsible for performing physical inventory and cycle count activities to include analyzing root cause and the administering of corrective action measures to improve and maintain the integrity of inventory accuracy processes. Also responsible to extract inventory-related data in report form, conduct various analysis on that data and recommend/take appropriate actions as required to improve operations and system data accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implements and maintains an inventory control database system; creates value-added reporting for management.
  • Responsible for conducting physical cycle counts and location checks within the facility and reconciliation of all count discrepancies to include performing root cause analysis.
  • Analyzes, investigates, and resolves inventory discrepancies.
  • Assures all departmental quality/process records comply with current ISO registration standards for documentation control. Assures all employees follow work instructions and ISO procedures.
  • Supports and recommends continuous improvement initiatives that meet company and department key metrics.
  • Extracts inventory data from available sources and performs analysis such as categorization, grouping and summarization in order to initiate various improvement activities. Leads and coordinates those inventory improvement activities as required to improve operations and system data accuracy.
  • In general, supports inventory accuracy and control improvement efforts by providing analysis, feedback, recommendations, task-execution and coordination activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Two or more years of cycle counting experience (preferred)
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment using RF scanner systems (preferred)
  • Solid oral and written business communication skills (bilingual Spanish a plus)
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Good organizational and work prioritization skills
  • Desire for growth and advancement

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Up to 10% travel may be required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to walk for prolonged periods of time, frequently bending, climbing, rotating, squatting, reaching, kneeling, or stooping, lifting and carry up to 40/50 pounds, and periods of computer use.

Employees may be frequently exposed to heat/cold, heights, gases, vibration, dust, chemicals, odors, dampness, fumes, and noises.
