Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:40 PM (overtime may be required based on business needs)

Role Purpose
Pinnacle Precision is seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in CNC machining and Aerospace & Defense (A&D) manufacturing. This role is responsible for reviewing customer RFQs, developing accurate cost estimates, and supporting quotation activities through collaboration with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Business Development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations based on customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Analyze engineering drawings, CAD files, BOMs, and Statements of Work to determine manufacturing scope and costs.
- Develop labor, material, tooling, outside processing, and subcontractor cost estimates.
- Evaluate make-versus-buy decisions and identify required vendor or subcontractor services.
- Utilize ERP systems, estimating software, and spreadsheets to create and maintain cost models.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing and lead-time information.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Customer Account teams to ensure quote accuracy and feasibility.
- Maintain estimating databases, labor standards, and pricing records.
- Process RFQs within Paperless Parts and support customer quote requests.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience:
- 5- 7 years of estimating experience in CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, aerospace, or precision manufacturing.
- Experience preparing quotations for Aerospace & Defense manufacturing programs.
- Experience reviewing RFQs, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing and lead times.
Skills / Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, BOMs, and GD&T
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
- Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, DFARS, and related industry standards.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent computer and office equipment use.
- Ability to occasionally enter manufacturing areas and wear required PPE.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction with manufacturing operations.
- Occasional exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and production environments.
