About the Role
Are you a hospitality-driven leader who thrives in a live-event environment? We're seeking an experienced Front of House Manager to serve as the face of our performing arts center and ensure every patron, regardless of background or ability, feels genuinely welcomed. This is a high-visibility leadership role at the intersection of guest experience, community engagement, and arts administration.
What You'll Do:
Guest Experience & Event Operations
• Lead all front-of-house operations for performances, special events, and venue rentals
• Oversee audience flow, seating assignments, lobby management, and ADA/accessibility accommodations
• Serve as the approachable, highly visible face of the Center in lobby and public spaces
• Manage patron concerns with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment
• Coordinate seamlessly with box office, concessions, production, and security teams
• Ensure all patron areas are safe, clean, welcoming, and operationally ready before each event
• Remain on-site through the conclusion of events and full patron egress
• Serve as the designated on-site emergency and incident point of contact
Volunteer Program Leadership
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train volunteers who reflect the Center's values of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Develop and manage volunteer schedules ensuring adequate coverage for all events and special projects
• Serve as the primary volunteer liaison, building lasting community relationships
• Track volunteer hours, maintain accurate records, and generate engagement/retention reports
• Lead volunteer training sessions and design recognition initiatives that celebrate contributions
• Collaborate across departments to identify and fulfill volunteer needs
Administration & Resident Company Liaison
• Prepare post-event reports documenting attendance, incidents, and patron feedback
• Log staff payroll hours and volunteer points accurately before the end of each shift
• Complete the Weekly Office Hours Checklist consistently
• Serve as the lead FOH contact for assigned resident companies—attend pre-show meetings, manage program distribution, and maintain up-to-date briefing sheets throughout each production run
• Maintain FOH supplies, signage, and accessibility resources
• Keep senior leadership promptly informed of any situation requiring immediate attention
Requirements:What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate brings a warm, professional presence and a genuine passion for the performing arts and community service. You are calm under pressure, skilled at de-escalation, and deeply committed to inclusive guest experiences. Bilingual is a plus.

The AT&T Performing Arts Center is a nonprofit foundation that operates and programs a 10-acre campus comprised of three premier performance venues and a park in downtown Dallas. Audiences enjoy the best and most recent from Broadway; the finest dance companies from across the globe co-presented with TITAS Presents; and top concerts, performers, and cutting-edge speakers. Thousands of students explore and more deeply experience the arts through the Center’s education program, Open Stages.
