WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
When the hotel quiets down for the night, someone needs to be the calm, steady presence keeping everyone safe. As our Night Audit and Risk Agent, you're the eyes and ears of the property overnight — patrolling the grounds, responding to emergencies, and making sure guests and team members feel secure until the sun comes up. You'll also lend a hand with audit and front desk tasks when the team needs backup. If you're alert, level-headed under pressure, and take pride in being the person others can count on when something goes wrong, this role is built for you.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Serve as the primary overnight safety presence, patrolling the lobby, hallways, stairways, parking lots, and other areas of the property.
• Respond promptly and calmly to overnight emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and safety concerns.
• De-escalate disturbances involving guests or visitors with professional judgment and composure.
• Report and document incidents accurately, contacting law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Control overnight access to the property, verifying guest identity and ensuring only authorized individuals are in secured areas.
• Support the Night Auditor as needed, assisting with audit tasks, reporting, and front desk functions.
• Serve as a point of contact for overnight guests, handling check-in, check-out, and general assistance.
• Manage wake-up call requests and operate the PBX switchboard, responding to overnight calls professionally.
SKILLS & ABILITIES YOU BRING
• Knowledge of safety, emergency response, and loss prevention practices, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to stay calm, assess risk, and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Comfortable patrolling the property and remaining alert and mobile throughout an overnight shift.
• Strong communication skills with guests, team members, and emergency personnel alike.
• Prior experience in security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or emergency response preferred; hospitality experience a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Basic computer proficiency; comfortable learning hotel systems and assisting with audit functions when needed.
SCHEDULE & HOURS
This position is full-time, primarily overnight/graveyard shift. Flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, is required. Specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process.
