Baler/Lawn Maintenance - Main Plant in Youngstown, Ohio at Goodwill Industries Youngstown

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious individual to join our Central Processing team. This part-time position combines baler operations with lawn care and general maintenance of equipment.

Work Schedule

• Two 8-hour shifts performing baler duties
• One 8-hour shift performing lawn care duties
• Specific workdays and hours will be discussed during the interview process

Key Responsibilities

Baler Operations

• Sort, prepare, bale, and move recyclable or salvage materials
• Safelyoperatebaling and material-handling equipment
• Secure, label, and stage completed bales for storage or shipment
• Keep the baler and surrounding work areas clean and organized
• Follow all equipment and workplace safety procedures
• Reportequipment issues and unsafe conditions promptly

Lawn Care Maintenance

• Mow grass, trim hedges, remove weeds, andmaintainlandscaped areas
• Remove leaves, branches, litter, and other outdoor debris
• Perform seasonal groundskeepingduties asassigned
• Assistwith general cleaning and upkeep
• Maintain lawn-care equipment and report needed repairs

• Help keep the facility and surrounding property safe and presentable

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Commitment to following established safety procedures
• Ability to learn and safelyoperatebaling and lawn-care equipment
• Previouswarehouse, baler, landscaping experience preferred but notrequired
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. The employee must be able to perform the essential duties of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
