Hotel Maintenance Tech (Orange Beach) in Orange Beach, Alabama at TEL Staffing & HR

We are searching for an experienced & dependable Hotel Maintenance Technician to work for our family-friendly hotel In Orange Beach AL.

The Maintenance Technicians responsibilities will include (but are NOT limited to): maintaining order of the property, completing all projects/tasks that have been assigned to the Maintenance Department, as well as ensuring that all safety and structural standards are met throughout the completion of each project/task.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
• Tracking projects from start to completion.
• Evaluate all costs associated with each project including materials, costs of labor, and time expended.
• Delegates tasks as needed.
• Perform quality control checks on all systems and products.
• Patrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks (or undesirable conditions).
• Maintain order in the hotel, while dealing with the overall welfare of guests by coordinating expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
• Ensure time-based maintenance is completed according to timely repair schedules.
• Inspect equipment and conduct routine maintenance by replacing old or faulty equipment.
• Provide technical support and/or training on all new equipment.
• Be familiar with all applicable laws and codes to ensure proper compliance.
• Memorize and monitor life safety systems, including the accurate layout of the entire building, including the locations of standpipes and fire extinguishers.
• Complete ALL alarm reports & checks. Report any pertinent information from each shift to the next shift.
• Respond to guest complaints by conducting necessary research to develop the most effective solutions.
• Create and/or follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

PAY:
Starts at: $15+/hr. (Depending on current level of experience)

SCHEDULE:
Scheduled days/hours will vary - MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
No Matter which shift you are assigned to, there will be some MORNING training
REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass a pre-employment background check AND have reliable transportation to Orange Beach.
(There is currently NO public transportation (busses) available to this location)
