Pay: $50,000–$70,000/year, DOE

POSITION SUMMARY
The GIS Analyst is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining Centerline's geospatial data systems, maps, and dashboards in support of survey and field operations. Working under the direction of the Director of Surveying & Geospatial, this position builds and maintains spatial databases, produces client-ready mapping deliverables, and develops tools that improve how the company collects, organizes, and visualizes geospatial data.
Placement as a GIS Analyst I or GIS Analyst II will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain geodatabases, feature classes, and spatial data models.
- Develop and maintain interactive maps, dashboards, and web mapping applications using Esri ArcGIS Online/Portal and related tools.
- Process, QA/QC, and integrate field survey data, and third-party datasets into GIS systems.
- Configure and manage Field Maps and Survey123 for field data collection by survey.
- Produce accurate maps, exhibits, and geospatial deliverables for client and internal projects.
- Automate recurring data workflows using Python, ArcPy, or Model Builder to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with survey, drafting, and drone teams to ensure geospatial data supports downstream deliverables.
- Support the development of new GIS service offerings.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, field crews, and clients on data and mapping needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
GIS Analyst I — Required
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Surveying, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Pro and/or ArcGIS Online.
- Basic understanding of spatial data formats, coordinate systems, and projections.
- Strong attention to detail and data organization skills.
GIS Analyst I — Preferred
- Experience with Field Maps and Survey123.
- Exposure to Python scripting or ArcPy.
- Interest in pipeline, utility, or infrastructure mapping.
GIS Analyst II — Required
- 2+ years of professional GIS experience, including geodatabase management and map production.
- Demonstrated experience building dashboards and web applications in ArcGIS Online/Portal (e.g., Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123).
- Proficiency with Python/ArcPy for geoprocessing automation.
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems, datums, and spatial data QA/QC.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
GIS Analyst II — Preferred
- Experience with SQL and enterprise geodatabases.
- Experience working on pipeline, utility, or energy infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with UAS/drone data processing
