Lead Security Systems Technician in at The Archetype Strategy

The Division 28 Team Lead will oversee the installation, coordination, testing, commissioning, and quality control of electronic safety and security systems within hyperscale data center environments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Installation, termination, testing, and commissioning of Access Control Systems (ACS).
• Installation and programming of card readers, badge readers, biometric readers, keypads, request-to-exit (REX) devices, door position switches, electric strikes, magnetic locks, and electrified door hardware.
• Installation, configuration, and testing of IP-based Video Surveillance (CCTV) systems, including fixed, PTZ, and panoramic cameras.
• Installation and commissioning of Video Management Systems (VMS) such as Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Lenel, and other enterprise security platforms.
• Installation and support of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), including motion detectors, glass break sensors, panic devices, and perimeter protection equipment.
• Installation and termination of low-voltage security cabling, including Category 6, Category 6A, composite cable, and fiber optic infrastructure supporting security systems.
• Installation of security device backboxes, conduits, raceways, cable trays, ladder rack, and cable support systems.
• Rack and stack of security equipment, network switches, security panels, servers, power supplies, UPS systems, and telecommunications cabinets.
• Installation and termination of patch panels, fiber enclosures, security control panels, intelligent controllers, and power distribution equipment.
• Testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of integrated security systems to ensure proper operation and customer acceptance.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, device layouts, riser diagrams, one-line drawings, wiring schematics, and security system documentation.
• Labeling, documenting, and maintaining as-built drawings and testing documentation.
• Coordination with project managers, general contractors, electricians, Division 27 teams, and customer representatives to ensure successful project completion.
• Leading and mentoring field technicians while maintaining productivity, workmanship, and quality standards.
• Enforcing OSHA safety standards, customer site requirements, and company safety policies.
• Ensuring all installations comply with manufacturer specifications, customer requirements, NEC, NFPA, UL standards, and industry best practices.
