This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal Contracts / Diligence / Redlines Evaluator based in Canada.
This contract opportunity is designed for an experienced legal professional with strong expertise in contracts, due diligence, and redlining. You will evaluate AI-generated legal and business documents against detailed quality standards and apply professional judgment to assess their accuracy and effectiveness. Your expertise will help identify factual, structural, and presentation issues that may otherwise be overlooked. You will provide clear, structured feedback that can be used to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated legal outputs. The role combines legal analysis, attention to detail, and an understanding of how experienced practitioners evaluate contractual materials. Working remotely and asynchronously, you will contribute directly to improving the performance of next-generation AI systems.
- Evaluate AI-generated legal and business documents against domain-specific quality rubrics and established evaluation criteria.
- Review contracts, diligence materials, redlines, and related documents for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and professional quality.
- Identify factual, substantive, structural, formatting, and presentation issues within AI-generated outputs.
- Apply professional expertise in contracts, due diligence, and redlining to assess whether outputs meet appropriate legal and business standards.
- Provide clear, structured, and actionable written feedback to help improve AI-generated legal content.
- Assess outputs rigorously and consistently, applying sound professional judgment across different assignments.
- Work independently and asynchronously while meeting project deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in legal contracts, due diligence, redlining, or a closely related legal field.
- Native or professional-level fluency in English, with excellent written and analytical communication skills.
- Strong practical understanding of contract review, negotiation, diligence processes, and legal document analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle factual, substantive, and drafting issues.
- Ability to evaluate complex documents objectively and provide concise, structured, and constructive feedback.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Google Slides.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment and managing deadlines effectively.
- An advanced degree, such as a Master’s degree or higher, from a reputable institution is preferred.
- Competitive contract compensation of $80–$120 per hour.
