This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior DBA Analyst (Oracle & SQL Server) – Protheus Focus based in Brazil.

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support and optimize critical database environments within the TOTVS Protheus ERP ecosystem. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for ensuring database performance, availability, security, and operational continuity. You will work across Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments, supporting production, testing, and development systems. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting complex performance issues, optimizing queries, and maintaining reliable backup and recovery processes. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, and functional consulting teams to ensure stable and efficient ERP operations. • Administer, maintain, and support Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments associated with TOTVS Protheus ERP.

• Manage production, testing, and development database environments, ensuring high availability, stability, integrity, and operational efficiency.

• Monitor database performance, resource consumption, availability, and capacity, proactively identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

• Execute, validate, and maintain backup and recovery procedures to protect business-critical data and support operational continuity.

• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexes, database configurations, and critical processes to improve performance and response times.

• Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Protheus environments, including DBAccess and AppServer components.

• Perform database tuning, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to resolve complex performance and operational issues.

• Support database migrations, version upgrades, environment updates, and database transfers, ensuring consistency and minimizing operational disruption.

• Monitor database jobs, blocking sessions, deadlocks, and database growth to prevent incidents and maintain system reliability.

• Implement and maintain database security policies, access controls, and auditing procedures in line with operational requirements.

• Provide technical support to development, infrastructure, and functional consulting teams, contributing to effective problem resolution and continuous improvement.

• Apply preventive maintenance practices and recommend improvements that strengthen database performance, security, and business continuity.

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), with a strong background in database administration and support for TOTVS Protheus ERP environments.

• Solid technical expertise in Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server, including administration, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Experience managing production, testing, and development database environments, with an understanding of availability, performance, and resource management.

• Hands-on experience with database performance monitoring, SQL query optimization, index management, database tuning, and troubleshooting complex performance issues.

• Practical knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, data integrity, database security, access management, and auditing.

• Experience with TOTVS Protheus infrastructure components, particularly DBAccess and AppServer installation, configuration, and maintenance.

• Familiarity with database migrations, version upgrades, environment updates, and database capacity planning.

• Experience monitoring and resolving database jobs, blocking sessions, deadlocks, and database growth issues.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure, development, and functional consulting teams, providing clear technical guidance and support.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying risks, preventing incidents, and maintaining operational stability.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to manage priorities in business-critical environments.

• Availability to work remotely from Brazil under a PJ (independent contractor) arrangement.

• Compensation: R$65 per hour.

• Contract type: PJ (independent contractor).
