Buyer / Planner
Location: Marietta, OH
Job Type: Direct Hire
Salary: Starting at $60,000 annually, with higher compensation based on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Buyer / Planner to support production operations by managing purchasing, planning, and material flow activities. This role is responsible for overseeing the full production lifecycle, from material planning and procurement through assembly and shipping support.
The ideal candidate will have strong ERP/MRP knowledge, manufacturing industry experience, and the ability to manage materials efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Manage purchasing and planning activities for assigned production lines
- Execute procurement activities for manufacturing materials and components
- Monitor material flow from purchase order through receipt, inventory, assembly, and shipping
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to support inventory accuracy and production scheduling
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely material availability
- Procure electrical and manufacturing components such as wires, cables, and energy meters
- Maintain accurate planning and purchasing data within ERP systems
- Minimum of 5 years of Buyer / Planner experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of material flow processes and production planning
- Experience procuring electrical components and manufacturing materials
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- APICS certification or related supply chain credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
This is an onsite position and is best suited for candidates with hands-on manufacturing purchasing and planning experience.
