Job Description

Senior Content Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Content Engineer in United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded content professional to shape the future of developer documentation in an AI-native environment. In this role, you will design scalable systems and workflows that empower engineering and product teams to create high-quality technical content efficiently. Rather than focusing solely on writing documentation, you will build the infrastructure, editorial standards, and AI-assisted processes that enable content excellence at scale. You’ll collaborate with globally distributed teams in a flexible remote-first culture that values innovation, autonomy, and knowledge sharing. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys blending engineering, automation, and editorial expertise to improve the developer experience and modernize how technical documentation is created and maintained.

Accountabilities:
  • Design and maintain AI-powered documentation workflows, including automated content pipelines, integrations, and tooling to streamline technical publishing processes.
  • Build and optimize systems that transform engineering knowledge into structured, publication-ready documentation with minimal manual effort.
  • Establish editorial standards, metadata frameworks, and machine-readable content structures to support both developers and AI agents.
  • Review and refine AI-assisted and engineer-authored content to ensure clarity, consistency, technical accuracy, and usability.
  • Enable self-service documentation practices by training engineers and product managers to create and maintain high-quality technical content independently.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Developer Advocacy teams to support feature launches, tutorials, SDK documentation, and technical communication initiatives.
  • Develop feedback loops and quality metrics to identify outdated content, improve documentation effectiveness, and optimize the developer experience.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical background with the ability to read and write code, preferably in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages.
  • Experience working with APIs, SDKs, integrations, and automation frameworks in developer-focused environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/LLM technologies, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted content or workflow automation.
  • Exceptional technical writing and editing skills, with the ability to transform complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation.
  • Systems-oriented mindset with experience building scalable documentation processes rather than managing one-off content projects.
  • Familiarity with docs-as-code workflows and modern documentation platforms such as Docusaurus, Mintlify, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed engineering and product teams.
  • Experience in Developer Relations, open-source communities, AI agent integrations, or content enablement programs is considered a strong advantage.
  • Professional-level English proficiency required for global collaboration and technical communication.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work environment with a globally distributed and multicultural team.
  • Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage and wellness support programs.
  • Company stock options and competitive compensation package.
  • Professional development budget to support continuous learning and career growth.
  • Home office and equipment allowance to optimize your remote workspace.
  • Wellness budget and internet reimbursement.
  • Inclusive parental leave and employee-focused support initiatives.
  • Opportunities for international collaboration and annual team gatherings.
  • Work within a values-driven organization focused on innovation, inclusivity, and open collaboration.
