Summary
Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our General Counsel and legal team. This role will assist with contract administration, legal research, document management, and compliance tasks. The Paralegal will play a critical role in ensuring smooth legal operations and supporting strategic initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Counsel in drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts and legal documents.
- Conduct legal research on employment law and contract issues under guidance of counsel.
- Maintain contract templates and manage document lifecycle in compliance systems.
- Prepare summaries of legal documents and track deadlines for filings and renewals.
- Support compliance audits and assist with internal investigations as directed.
- Coordinate with HR and business teams to gather information for legal matters.
- Fleet Compliance – including registration, insurance and background checks.
- Insurance Compliance – including filings, audit coordination, certificate tracking.
- Develop and maintain a repository for electronic and physical legal files ensuring confidentiality, security and accessibility for those that require it.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in contracts, construction and/or employment law.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office and document management systems.
- Knowledge of construction and contract law is a strongly preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with contract management systems and legal document automation tools.
- Strong research skills with ability to synthesize complex legal information quickly.
- Proficiency in AI tools for both legal and administrative use in a professional legal setting.
- Experience supporting multi-jurisdictional compliance efforts (California & PA preferred).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with legal, HR, and business teams.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership for assigned tasks and deadlines.
- Punctual and reliable in delivering work within agreed timelines.
- Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Additional information
The Salary Range for this position is $72,000 - $105,00 annually based on experience and qualifications. We also off the following benefits:
