Position Overview

Emerging Tech is seeking an Action Officer to support program control and leadership reporting efforts within a large-scale federal healthcare IT environment. This role is responsible for analyzing program data, developing executive-level briefings, and supporting action tracking and coordination across stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and experienced in developing polished deliverables for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis across multiple data sources (e.g., IDIQs, task orders, schedules, status reports, requirements documents, and change control documentation)

  • Develop executive-level briefing materials, including Courses of Action (COAs), decision briefings, and informational presentations

  • Create and manage an action item tracking process and associated tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint) for leadership use

  • Produce a wide range of deliverables, including reports, presentations, email communications, and spreadsheets

  • Develop process diagrams and workflow visualizations as needed

  • Communicate regularly with action owners and cross-functional stakeholders to track progress and ensure accountability

  • Support program control activities and provide insights to leadership for decision-making

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional work experience

  • Knowledge of data sources and methodologies used for monitoring, analysis, modeling, and reporting

  • Experience with scientific research, technical writing, and editing aligned with government standards

  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Experience presenting work in meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare, Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical/clinical field

    • Additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

  • Experience implementing or supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
