WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a responsible Engineering Manager to be a specialist and leader of solutions directed towards improving the performance of stations and future station design. The Engineering Manager draws on the team members vast knowledge and experience to work independently and attack the most difficult and urgent projects. The Engineering Manager utilizes learnings to complete necessary projects to help foster the widespread adoption of hydrogen across all energy sectors.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

-Assist, guide and work with the Engineering Team on urgent and approved special projects to improve the performance of stations.

-Assist, guide and work with the Engineering Team on future development projects.

-Oversee project execution from all aspects and disciplines including but not limited to station permitting, interfacing with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), construction, mechanical, process, systems, controls, electrical, commissioning and handoff.

-Develop and implement project management processes to ensure members of the Engineering Team meet tasks and milestones on time and per expectations.

-Plan and allocate Engineering Team resources appropriately with other departments and managers to ensure all tasks are met on time and per expectations.

-Ensure all projects are properly documented.

-Take on key role in individual team member development and growth.

-Communicate with vendors and partners both internal and external.

-Communicate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure alignment on all tasks and projects.

-Create thoughtful and resourceful problem-solving solutions to overcome roadblocks posed to the Engineering Team.

-Interface with management and other higher level personnel providing cost budgets, progress reports and other relevant reports for all projects.

-Create cost budget and resource plans for all projects.

Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

-1 or more years of experience in project management.

-1 or more years in project engineering (preferred)

-Experience communicating with multiple disciplines.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Time management and organization skills.

-Able to work in a dynamic team environment.

-Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.

-Ability to work with multiple disciplines.

-Ability to work with multiple personalities.

-Understanding and/or ability to work on low and medium (24VDC, 110 VAC, 208 VAC, 480VAC) voltage equipment, including motors, relays, compressors and PLCs.

-Understanding and/or ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, including 4-20mA system, pressure transducers, valves, electronic and air operated valves, control valves and PLC logic.

-Understanding and ability to read electrical documentation such as single line diagrams, point to point tables and other electrical schematics.

-Understanding of controls narratives and the relationship between controls and process narratives.

-Understanding of the relationship between mechanical and electrical components such as air operated valves and solenoid valves.

-Understanding and/or ability to work on High pressure hydrogen gas lines (up to 15,000 psi)

-Understanding and/or ability to work on LH2 systems including pumps.

-Understanding and/or ability to work on cryogenic GH2 systems and lines (down to approx. -200C)

-Understanding of project permitting and construction including but not limited to structural details, constructability documentation and general arrangement documentation.

-Ability to supervise contractors to ensure all work is performed per customer and code specifications

-Available off hours for emergency service support

SCHEDULE + BENEFITS:

- Travel time: It is anticipated that % of your work time will be spent in the field (primarily in California).

- Excellent benefits, to include full premium coverage for Medical, Dental and Vision, Flexible Saving Account and Dependent Care FSA, 401(k) Plan (with 6% company match), Personal Time Off (PTO), and committed work environment.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 to $148,750 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work locations and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only and do not include any bonus or benefits.
