About This Position
1. Responsible for supervision of registrar(s)/front office staff.
2. Provides and tracks insurance authorizations and re-authorizations.
3. Provides registration and billing for all DBBHC programs.
4. Handles questions, problems, and corrections in connection with patient accounts.
5. Determines patient self-pay fees.
6. Provides the DMHAS monthly statistics to the State system and corrects errors as needed.
7. Admits and discharges patients for the DMHAS statistics.
8. Provides back-up assistance to the Director for ADP functions as needed.
9. Provides back-up for the Registrar and Administrative Assistant as needed.
10. Assists with orientation of volunteers and students as needed.
11. Performs any special tasks requested by the Director.

ADDITIONAL GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Professional positive attitude, vision, understanding of customer service principals, trustworthiness, and excellent interpersonal skills to successfully accomplish tasks necessary to meet high standards of ethical and social responsibility required by this position. Familiar with the services offered at DMHAS and DBBHC, familiar with the neighborhoods, services, and community at large. EDUCATION: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree. EXPERIENCE: Experience with Behavioral Health office management, particularly in a healthcare setting. Typing and computer skills; strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary staff. Familiarity with tele-medicine and prior experience a plus. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bi-lingual in English / Spanish preferredWorking for Optimus:
