About This Position

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctor of Physical Therapy or equivalent).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience within the last 3 years as a physical therapist.
    • Experience providing direct patient care in an outpatient clinical setting.
    • Experience evaluating musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions preferred.
  • License/Certification:
    • Active, unrestricted Physical Therapist license issued by any U.S. state or territory.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross).
    • National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
  • Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and patient education
  • Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic health record system
  • Reassess patients and modify treatment plans based on clinical progress and functional outcomes
  • Supervise and delegate appropriate treatment activities to the Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care
  • Ensure compliance with DHA, Air Force, and MTF clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and patient safety initiatives as required
