NURSE PRACTITIONER - AMG

Nurse Practitioner - AMG-Neurology

Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and treatment of specialty specific patients for age groups adolescents, adults and geriatrics

Assessment and management of pain

Outpatient/inpatient clinical responsibilities applicable to specialty

Understands importance of excellent customer service and teamwork

Maintains complete, accurate and legible documentation

Assumes responsibility for professional development and ongoing education to maintain a high degree of proficiency

Demonstrates consistent level of performance and productivity

Must possess excellent clinical skills as a Nurse Practitioner

Ability to provide individualized care, focusing not only on health problems, but also on the effect health problems have on people and their families

Ability to explain the details of health problems, medications, and other topics to help people fully understand how to take care of themselves

Provide quality of care that results in a high level of patient satisfaction

Good physical and mental health

Must be able to lift, bend, pull, and push, using good body mechanics, without limitations

Must possess visual acuity with corrective lenses to read printed material and visualize patients to the degree that changes in color or respiration can be detected; hearing ability to ask and answer pertinent questions and relay information

Ability to work under supervision or independently as directed by situations

Must be able to work under stressful conditions

Nurse Practitioner, NP Education/Experience:

Graduate of appropriate baccalaureate and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program

Certified Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Georgia and current national certification

At least one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferably in area of practice specialty
