Our team at Coquitlam General and Sedation Dentistry located in Coquitlam BC is looking for a passionate, hard-working Registered Dental Hygienist on a part-time basis.

The ideal Registered Dental Hygienist for our team will be highly motivated to educate patients on preventative dental care and oral hygiene, as well as empower them in their commitment to good oral health by developing treatment plans and home care routines tailored towards the patients’ needs. CGS Dentistry is a family practice Located in the heart of Coquitlam. Close for walking and sky train. We also have parking available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, polishing and fluoride
• Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions of teeth and gums and periodontal health.
• Take dental x-rays and iTero scanning for diagnostic purposes.
• Administer local anesthetics as needed for procedures
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records, document treatment plans and discuss treatment plans with patients.
• Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Schedule all follow-up hygiene appointments.
• Stay up to date with current dental hygiene practices and continuing education requirements.

SCHEDULE:

• Approx. 24 Hours per week

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Currently registered or in process of registering with the:
  • BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP)
• Experience with dental practice management software such as Tracker is considered an asset
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
• Customer service mindset
