Role Overview

We are seeking a talented HVAC Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will take professional responsibility for the design and construction support of HVAC designs. You will ensure designs meet rigorous performance, quality and safety standards. As a senior team member, you will provide mentoring to junior engineers, manage high impact projects and interface with project stakeholders including clients, engineering management and project management.

Occasional site travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership

· Takes professional responsibility and acts as the engineer of record for deliverables under their supervision.

· Set clear goals and expectations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

· Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

2. Technical Expertise

· Perform engineering design of industrial HVAC systems including designing:

o Mine building infrastructures (process buildings, maintenance and auxiliary buildings)

o Industrial and warehouse buildings

o HVAC Control systems and building integration

· Support equipment procurement, post award activities and construction support

3. Stakeholder Communication

· Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external partners to define project requirements.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

· Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and updates for diverse audiences.

· Build strong relationships with vendors, internal and external partners.

4. Compliance and Standards

· Ensure projects meet regulatory and safety standards

· Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards across deliverables.

· Address and resolve compliance-related challenges proactively.

The Ideal Candidate will:

· Exhibit strong technical knowledge and expertise in HVAC design.

· Demonstrate the ability to balance project budget and schedule constraints while upholding safe and compliant designs.

· Thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with P.Eng registration in good standing with EGBC.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial HVAC design.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· Commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.
