Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative will identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the commercial plumbing market. This includes proactive outreach, relationship building, and strategic planning to generate leads and secure new clients. The position plays a key role in expanding ER Plumbing’s client base and supporting the company’s overall growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Qualification
- Identify and research potential commercial clients (building owners, property managers, facility managers, developers, etc.) through cold calling, networking, online research, and industry events.
- Qualify leads based on established criteria to determine potential fit for ER Plumbing services.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of all lead-generation and qualification activities in the CRM.
Relationship Building & Networking
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand outreach and generate leads.
- Professionally represent ER Plumbing, showcasing expertise and commitment to client satisfaction.
Sales & Presentation
- Conduct initial consultations and presentations to potential clients, highlighting services and value propositions.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals.
- Follow up with leads to nurture relationships and move them through the sales pipeline.
- Work closely with the estimating department to ensure accurate proposals are prepared.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of sales or business development experience; construction, trades, or facility services is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and competitive drive.
- Organized, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to understand general plumbing products and services.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
