Job Summary:

As a Transit Driver, you will be responsible for providing door-through-door service for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and low-income residents. Trips may include medical appointments, errands, work, church, and more. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and care for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport passengers in a scheduled and timely manner
• Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs
• Accurately complete and submit trip logs and electronic documentation
• Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients and staff
• Follow all Envida and regulatory driving safety standards

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record
• No CDL required, but passenger driving experience is preferred
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Basic computer and electronic documentation skills
• Must pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates sound interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:

• Driving in an enclosed vehicle with exposure to varying weather conditions
• Navigating roads and transporting clients safely in all seasons
• Interacting with a wide variety of clients and community members
