Occupational Therapist at INSPIRE Autism - Canton – Canton, Michigan
About This Position
Inspire Autism is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric occupational therapy services to young children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is a full-time, clinic-based position focused on early intervention for children under age 7, offering a consistent weekday schedule — no evenings or weekends required.
The Occupational Therapist will join a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), all working together to support meaningful progress for each child.
Compensation:$70,000
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs, promoting meaningful growth and skill development.
- Collaborate closely with BCBAs and SLPs to ensure a coordinated, team-based approach to each child’s care.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies to drive optimal outcomes.
- Partner with families by providing education, coaching, and practical strategies to support carryover at home.
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and treatment plan updates.
- Actively participate in team meetings, contributing clinical insights within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and emerging techniques in pediatric occupational therapy to continuously elevate clinical impact.
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, particularly with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that cater to each child's unique needs.
- Proven track record of collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including BCBAs and SLPs.
- Strong communication skills to engage with families, providing guidance and support to reinforce therapy goals at home.
- Ability to conduct regular assessments to track progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed.
- Commitment to staying informed about the latest research and techniques in pediatric occupational therapy to enhance practice.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and treatment plans.
