Commercial Litigation Attorney at Reid and Riege PC – Hartford, Connecticut

Reid and Riege, P.C. is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our litigation team. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated business disputes in a supportive and collegial environment while developing meaningful client relationships. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex commercial disputes from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, trial preparation, and trials
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda
• Develop case strategy and advise clients on risk, exposure, and resolution options
• Represent clients in court appearances, arbitrations, and mediations
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Supervise junior attorneys and support staff as appropriate
• Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts

• Connecticut Bar admission in good standing or ability to become admitted promptly
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience
• Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage complex cases and work collaboratively in a team environment
