Position Summary
The Customer Service Technical Support is responsible for providing technical troubleshooting and support to customers using Xantrex power electronics products. This role serves as a primary contact for customers seeking assistance with product operation, diagnostics, installation questions, and warranty guidance.
This position requires strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems and helping customers successfully operate their equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide phone, email and chat technical support for Xantrex products including inverters, battery chargers, lithium batteries and power management systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot customer issues related to installation, configuration, and product performance
Guide customers through troubleshooting procedures to resolve technical issues
Document customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in CRM systems
Determine when issues require repair, replacement, or warranty review and coordinate next steps with internal teams
Escalate complex technical issues to engineering or senior technical support when necessary
Support dealers, installers, distributors, and end users with product knowledge and application guidance
Maintain strong knowledge of Xantrex products and power electronics technologies
Contribute feedback to internal teams regarding product performance and recurring customer issues
Qualifications
Required:
2+ years of customer support, technical support, or troubleshooting experience
Understanding of mechanical or electrical troubleshooting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and professional while assisting customers in challenging situations
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Experience with power electronics, RV electrical systems, marine systems, or solar power systems
Knowledge of inverters, batteries, chargers, and DC/AC electrical systems
Experience using CRM or case management systems (Salesforce experience is a plus)
Technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical technology, or related field
