About This Position
Join our Commercial Finance team as a Commercial Finance Analyst in the United States for Megaport. You will serve as a commercial finance representative in our North American team, acting as a key liaison between Megaport’s US business operations and the Commercial Finance team at our Australian headquarters.
This critical position plays an integral role on the Commercial Finance team in delivering commercial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring alignment across regions. With a primary focus on supporting the US sales organization, the analyst will contribute to deal evaluation, pricing strategies, commission management, and business expansion initiatives, fostering collaboration across international teams to drive sustainable growth.

- Commercial Support & Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with US sales and the operations teams to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and act as a trusted finance advisor.
- Deal & Pricing: Support the US sales team on deal structures through pricing, discount, product and deal structure requests, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and strategies.
- Partnership & Business Expansion: Evaluate new partnerships and business expansion opportunities with the US sales and partner teams by developing data-driven business cases & recommendations to leadership.
- Commission Structure & Execution: Support the design, analysis, and management of commission structures, ensuring alignment with company strategies, and the timely and accurate execution of payments.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular financial reports, including performance reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive commercial success. Develop dashboards and enhanced KPI metrics to measure and support the continued success of commercial strategies.
- Regional Support: Act as an on-the-ground finance contact for the US team, addressing real-time financial queries, coordinating with the Australian team to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Cross-Regional Collaboration: Bridge time zone and geographical gaps to foster seamless communication with the Australian finance team, sharing insights and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in a commercial finance or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) role, ideally within a global organization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce), and commissions automation tools (e.g. CaptivateIQ).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of working independently while staying connected to a global remote team.
- Experience working with sales organizations will be highly regarded.
