Program Analyst at Akicita Federal, LLC – Long Beach, California

Location: Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, Long Beach, CA

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend weekly CAM meetings and participate in Working Groups with Hospital Services.
• Conduct database research using VA databases and software for space and patient projections.
• Write formal reports summarizing findings on the current state of hospital support, laydown, and space.
• Provide responses to tasks and requests for information (RFIs) via calls and emails.
• Translate space and facility requirements into a list of project plans that need to be completed over the next 10 years.
• Read the VALB Master Plan, document priorities that may have changed, summarize recommended projects over the next 10 years, and present recommended changes to leadership.
• Participate in scoping sessions for future planning requirements, identify areas requiring subject matter expertise, and finalize plans of action.
• Provide progress updates and support the Space Management Team with site surveys and the planning/execution of space moves due to renovations or user requests.
• Create visualization products and briefs for various leadership levels, and integrate with VALB Public Affairs to develop communication strategies for projects.
• Create pre-SCIP design planning campus facility architectural and engineering documentation (including utilities) using AutoCAD and Revit for existing campus buildings.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and space planning movement mitigation strategies to offset medical center disruptions during SCIP project execution.
• Participate in Facility Master Planning coordination meetings and manage projects to improve medical facilities and surrounding property (e.g., building renovations, water distribution, roads).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in data analytics.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with project management and/or data analytics.
• Knowledge of data mining/warehouse processes, data modeling, R or SAS, SQL, statistical analysis, database management, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Patient Centered Care culture in healthcare.
• Experience working with commercial or hospital systems in master or strategic planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) is required.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Revit is beneficial but not required.
