About This Position

Description:

Bring your culinary skills and join our team as a PM Line Cook, where you will help deliver high-quality food and memorable guest experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items with consistency, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting a smooth and efficient evening service.

This part-time position is scheduled Thursday through Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, supporting our peak dinner service and ensuring guests receive great food and service during our busiest hours.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Follow all local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel and kitchen operations
  • Ensure the kitchen remains organized, clean, and well-stocked at all times
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to provided brand and IHM recipes and standards
  • Assist with prep work for Room 56, including preparing drink mixers, garnishes, and supporting bar operations as needed
  • Receive and organize food and beverage orders and deliveries as required
  • Prepare and plate all food items on the menu with consistency and attention to quality
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, and microwaves safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by cleaning and sanitizing tables, countertops, equipment, and floors after each service

Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow brand and IHM standard operating procedures for food and beverage preparation
  • Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and a desire for achievement
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and solve problems in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and during busy service periods
  • Basic knowledge of operating kitchen and food and beverage equipment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
