Position Summary
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our expanding Service Department. Whether you are starting your career as a Trainee Apprentice or an experienced Accessibility and Private Residence Lift Technician, this is an opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to a company that values quality, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Work Location: Maple Ridge, BC
We welcome applicants with experience in elevator, millwright, or electrical trades, but will also consider motivated individuals with the right aptitude
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced technicians in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and residential accessibility lifts, including residential home elevators
- Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and support repairs under supervision
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure lifts meet safety and performance standards
- Read and interpret layout drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to complete assigned tasks accurately
- Support the installation of new lifts and equipment under the guidance of certified technicians
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner
- Follow all company and regulatory safety policies during fieldwork and training activities
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support service schedules and respond to customer needs
- Complete documentation and reports related to service calls, maintenance, and repairs
- Continuously learn new techniques, technologies, and best practices to advance skills and progress toward certification
Qualifications & Experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read layout drawings and electrical schematics
- Minimum Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Certified Accessibility and Private Residence Lift Technician (TSBC H-Class Certified) is a nice to have
- Computer literate
- Commitment to ongoing learning and training
- Completion of Grade 12 (minimum)
