The Southwest Florida pain management office of Advanced Pain Management & Spine Specialists (APMSS) recognizes that both acute and chronic pain impact not only patients, but entire families.

We are seeking a mission-driven Physician who shares our commitment to compassionate, evidence-based pain care and patient-centered service.
The Physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions using comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and interventional approaches. This role requires strong clinical expertise, empathy, and dedication to improving quality of life for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, histories, and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pain conditions
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Perform or oversee interventional pain procedures (as credentialed)
- Prescribe medications and therapies responsibly and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate holistic treatment
- Educate patients and families on treatment options, prevention, and wellness
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer collaboration
- Uphold the compassionate, patient-first culture of APMSS
Work Schedule
- Full-time preferred; part-time or contract arrangements considered
- Primarily outpatient clinical setting
- Limited or no hospital call depending on arrangement

Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or related specialty
- Active and unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA registration and controlled substance prescribing authority
- BLS/ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in Pain Management or Interventional Spine
- Experience in outpatient or ambulatory pain practice
- Proficiency with fluoroscopic or ultrasound-guided procedures
- Familiarity with modern EHR systems
